CONCEPT

The food industry is the part of the industry in charge of the elaboration, transformation, preparation, conservation and packaging of food for human and animal consumption. The raw materials of this industry consist mainly of products of plant origin (agriculture), animal (livestock) and fungi. The progress of this industry has affected us today in the daily food, increasing the number of possible foods available in the diet. The increase in production has been combined with a progressive effort in monitoring the hygiene and food laws of the countries trying to regulate and unify processes and products.
